Something for you in the park!

Free arts, crafts and exercise sessions get underway next week in the relaxing surroundings of Victoria Park in Ilkeston – part of summer series of ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’.

Drop-in sessions will be held fortnightly on Wednesdays in the park between 10.30am and 12.30pm starting on 7 June and running throughout the summer.

Relaxing yoga, tai chi, meditation and health walks around the park are among activities that will be on offer. There will also be art sessions, including willow weaving, clay modelling, and charcoal and pencil drawing. The sessions are free and suitable for all ages and abilities, with all materials provided.

In addition, on Wednesday 5 July, Lush Cosmetics will be in the park offering free hand and arm massages for an extra wellbeing boost for those attending the fortnightly sessions,

There’s no need to book for any of the Wednesdays, residents can just drop by and meet at the Pavilion to enjoy activities.
