Erewash residents and visitors have the chance to grab great gifts and festive food at the popular Ilkeston and Long Eaton markets in the busy run up to Christmas.
Markets will be held in both town centres on Tuesday 23 December and Christmas Eve and again on Saturday 27 December.
Santa Claus will also make last minute visits to add to the festive fun at Long Eaton market this Saturday (13 December) and Ilkeston on Saturday 20 December when he will be handing out candy canes to children between 11am and 2pm.
Councillor Geoffrey Smith, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Regeneration and Planning, says:
“The days leading up to Christmas are always busy and it’s great news that our markets in Ilkeston and Long Eaton will be trading in the run up to the big day for those looking for last minute gifts and festive fayre for the big day.”
Ilkeston’s Thursday market will not be held on New Year’s Day, Thursday 1 January.
